DG Global expands Quebec and Eastern Canadian operations with acquisition of CanEst Transit Inc.

Montreal, QC. December 30, 2019 – DG Global Inc. – a leading agricultural container shipper in Canada is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of CanEst Transit Inc., a Quebec-based containerization facility specializing in agricultural products. Conveniently located in the bustling Port of Montreal adjacent to container terminals, CanEst Transit receives grain inter-modally by rail and truck and offers services such as product cleaning and bulk handling of grain and by-products in addition to storage. This latest venture marks an important step in expanding the reach of agricultural commodities not only across Eastern Canada, but also beyond Canadian borders into the global marketplace.

DG Global’s wide range of product includes containerized soybeans, grains, pulses and special crops. CanEst Transit, established in 2014, will enhance the offerings of DG Global Inc.’s capabilities, through:

  • High speed trans-loading of agri-products and container filling systems

  • Close proximity to leading container terminal operations

  • 91 independent concrete silos with storage capacities ranging from 300 to 900 tonnes, for a total of 68,000 tonnes

  • Identity preservation (IP)

  • Rail car unloading rates of 350 mt / hour

  • Truck receiving capacity of 350 mt / hour

  • Receiving capacity of more than 100 railcars

  • Serviced by both CN and CP

  • Container filling system design for eight containers per hour with option for doubling the capacity
